2020 Generation

The world of the 2020 generation is a unique and so are they.  Put simply the 2020 Generation are individuals born between 1980 and 1991. They are drastically less then like their parents Gen-Xers are like theirs. Politically, technically, economically socially kids today are growing up with expectations, assumptions, and experiences that simply did not exist thirty years ago. Born between 1980 and 1991 they are too young to remember Vietinam, Arab Oil Embargos, Iranian Hostage taking and Ronal Reagan. What they will never forget though is the loss of personal security from 9/11 and the collapse of their economic security in 2008.  (more…)

Rebuilding Corporate America

America restoration of faith in Corporate America will require change and action, commitment and vigilance, time and patience. It must happen and now is the time to pick up the pace.

These words summarize what Americans really want most in from their employers:

  • Change in the way things are run in the workplace
  • Action rather then just words.
  • Commitment to actually get it done
  • Vigilance to ensure that old ways never return
  • Time to adjust to the economic transformation
  • Patience with our people as they learn and adapt

As an American you should be living by this creed in your personal and business life. You may want to throw caution to the wind by making calculated decisions, but don’t get into the trap of analysis to paralysis. There may be some decisions you need to make by gut feeling after you’ve done your analysis, but remember gut feelings are not as emotional as you may think, when all else is equal on both sides of the equation  your gut decision come from your life experience whether you know/feel it or not.
